Privacy Policy for Cellular Call Guard

Data collection and sharing

The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with GuberDev or third parties. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, crash-reporting, or cloud-storage services. The App does not require an account and does not communicate with developer-operated servers.

Information processed on the device

To provide call-filtering functionality, the App may process the following information locally:

• Active SIM information, including subscription identifier, SIM slot, carrier name, display name, and—when separately permitted—the SIM phone number.
• Call direction and phone-account information needed to determine which SIM is handling a call.
• An outgoing phone number temporarily and only to determine whether it is an emergency number. Phone numbers are not stored in the App’s diagnostics.
• Call-filtering rules, schedules, pause settings, permission status, and recent call decisions.
• Device model, Android version, App version, and redacted diagnostic events.

This information remains on the device.

Contacts

The App may request Contacts permission when incoming call screening is enabled. This allows Android’s call-screening service to handle calls involving saved contacts. The App does not copy, store, upload, or share the user’s contact list.

Diagnostics

The App keeps a limited diagnostic event log on the device. Phone numbers and phone-account addresses are redacted from this log.

Diagnostics leave the App only when the user explicitly chooses to copy them to the clipboard or share them. GuberDev does not automatically receive diagnostic information.

Permissions

Depending on enabled features, the App may request:

• Phone state and phone numbers: to identify active SIM cards and match calls to the correct SIM.
• Contacts: to support incoming call screening involving saved contacts.
• Answer phone calls: for an optional call-ending fallback.
• Notifications and foreground service: to show the active call-guard status.
• Call screening and call redirection roles: to allow or block incoming and outgoing calls.
• Shizuku access: for optional, user-enabled permission repair and call-ending functionality.
• Start at boot: to restore enabled call-guard rules after device restart.

Permissions can be revoked through Android settings.

Local storage and retention

Rules, schedules, settings, and diagnostics are stored in the App’s private Android storage. They remain until the user clears them, clears the App’s data, or uninstalls the App.

App data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.

Third-party services

The optional Shizuku integration operates locally on the device and requires the user to install, start, and authorize Shizuku separately. The App does not send data to GuberDev through Shizuku.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App’s functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when changes are published.
